In a previous article, I have shown you how to install OS X El Capitan GM (golden master) or other Beta version without developer account. As I sometime still need Windows-based program such as Mikrotik Winbox, I need to have WINE (Windows Emulator) on my Mac. In this post I would like to guide you how to install Wine on OS X El Capitan. At the time of this writing, the latest version of OS X is OS X 10.11 El Capitan GM (Golden Master).

I recently posted about problems with the new version on mac. Glad to say that I have found a solution!!!! Install Wineskin Winery (and all programs related) 2. Install newest engine (at time of this post WS9Wine1.7.51) 3. Select theta engine and click Create New Blank Wrapper 4. When promoted about 'X11' click allow 6. (Obsolete) For Mac gamers, this is the RA:APB 2.1.2 full game client Wineskin. Thanks for Darklord42 once again for preparing this special wrapper for our latest release. Wineskin is a tool used to make ports of Windows software to Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (or later). The ports are in the form of normal Mac application bundle wrappers. It works like a wrapper around the Windows software, and you can share just the wrappers if you choose (that is the strategy used here).

Requirements
1. Latest version of OS X El Capitan (Golden Master build at this time of this writing)
2. Latest version of Xcode (Xcode 7.0 GM, you can download it from https://imzdl.com/osx.html if you are not a registered Apple developer.
3. Homebrew package manager for OS X. We will install Wine using Homebrew package manager.
I assume that you have done installing point 1 and 2 in the requirements above. So we just go to install Homebrew package manager.
Install Homebrew
Run the script below to install Homebrew:
Once it is installed, run the below command to install Wine.
Install WINE using Homebrew
The format to install package using brew is “brew install package_name”:
To run a Windows program, use “wine /path/to/program.exe”.
Example below is to run Mikrotik Winbox using wine

Great news! This game is already available in the Porting Kit. Porting Kit is the new application which “ports” the game to your Mac. The video and download links in the slider are outdated and won’t work on OS X 10.11+. To fix/update it, install the game with the Porting Kit visit its page here.
